The third stage involves the long ascent to Mount Martano and arrives at Acquasparta mostly downhill. It starts at Bastardo and goes uphill until the village of Giano dell'Umbria. The first stretch is on the provincial road that connects Bastardo to Massa Martana, then at the cemetery it turns left going uphill on a pretty country road until Giano. After the village it continues uphill (asphalted but steep) until the fork that goes to the refuge and to a beautiful panoramic stop area. It goes back to the crossroads and takes a dirt road in the direction of the village of Montemartano. After a while, at the first crossroads, it turns right and continues, always downhill on a dirt road until the road that leads to Massa Martana. After visiting the village it continues along the secondary road that goes to a Romanesque church at the crossroads with the regional road, which goes down for a short while then turns left on a dirt road that leads to an asphalted road to Copetrazzo. After the village it continues to Mezzanelli then descends joining the provincial road again that, slightly uphill, leads to the historical centre of Acquasparta.
