Terre Arnolfe MTB (eBike) Tour

Cesi door of Umbria door of wonders

MTB tour for experts. Advanced skills required. Advanced riding skills are required. In some parts of the tour you may have to push your bike

It starts from Cesi and goes towards Carsulae but, at the crossroads it descends to the Sangemini Water Spring Park and then follows the dirt road on the right that runs along the archaeological park and leads to the Portaria crossroads.

It continues uphill in the direction of this village (to visit) and then proceeds as far as the Cimaforca Pass. It turns left towards Casteldelmonte, another small village to visit. To arrive there it follows a beautiful, slightly hilly dirt road.

After a short stretch on asphalt, it takes a trail (steep) that goes up to another village called Messenano (to visit) and then proceeds, always downhill, as far as the crossroads which deviate along the shores of Lake Arezzo.

To go back, it continues uphill to Macerino (to visit). From Macerino it goes downhill on the paved road and, at the crossroads takes the dirt road on the right which it leaves to follow on to the Fosso di Macerino until it returns to the Cimaforca Pass.

Here the most demanding stretch begins which also requires good downhill riding skills. The landscape is very beautiful and it is worth tackling the climbs that take you almost to the top of Torre Maggiore. Then the downhill dirt road (which becomes paved near the observatory) returns to Cesi.
